Do you have to be a member of the Olympic Club to apply for a grant from the Foundation?

No. Any school or organization that is a 501(c)(3) public charity offering organized athletics to children and teens that is based in one of the 9 San Francisco Bay Area counties may apply for a grant.


Are the Foundation grants just for golf?

No. The Foundation supports a broad range of youth sports including baseball, basketball, softball, football, volleyball, rugby, soccer, golf, tennis, ice skating, boxing, lacrosse, cycling, swimming, water polo, skiing, sailing, badminton, and more.


Is there a difference between The Olympic Club Foundation and The Olympic Club?

Yes. The Olympic Club Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity. It is a wholly separate tax entity from The Olympic Club, the national’s oldest private athletic club. With a history of philanthropy dating back to the 1860s, The Olympic Club formalized its charitable efforts with the creating of The Olympic Club Foundation in 1992.


Does the Foundation support sports organizations for girls?

Yes indeed. Women are a key part of The Club and The Olympic Club Foundation.


Can my organization get a round of golf from The Olympic Club donated for our auction?

Non-profit organizations seeking a donated round of golf at The Olympic Club for their charitable auction should send a request via email to:
