Since 1992, The Olympic Club Foundation has helped over 200,000 less-advantaged children and teens from underserved neighborhoods throughout the nine San Francisco Bay Area counties by granting over $5 million to eligible schools, organizations, associations and student athletes.
Each year, the Foundation allocates grants of up to $25,000 per grant in support of more than 40 local groups offering sports to our children and teens. The list of sports includes baseball, basketball, softball, volleyball, football, rugby, soccer, swimming, lacrosse, boxing, golf and tennis among many more.
In addition to supporting organizations providing organized athletics, the Foundation also recognizes individual student athletes through both the Brian Ohleyer Scholarship Award and the Athlete's Fund.
To fulfill our mission - to support programs that share the belief that participation in organized athletics enriches young lives and develops future community leaders - we maintain a rigorous and thorough review process with the goal of maximizing our donors' generosity to make sports available to children and teens throughout the Greater Bay Area.
